Jess: When I was a kid, my parents promised me a treehouse. They never did build it, but I always dreamed of how cool it would be. Now with Best Treehouse Ever I can live out my dreams of building the coolest treehouse known to mankind! Take that, parents! (I may have some unresolved treehouse issues).
Scott Almes, designer of the Tiny Epic series and Kings of Air and Steam, has teamed up with Green Couch Games, makers of the beautifully illustrated Fidelitas, to make a game called Best Treehouse Ever. The game is for 2 to 4 players, ages 10 and up, and plays in about 20-30 minutes. Each player is trying to collect cards in order to add rooms to their tree house. You just have to be careful to balance your awesomeness, lest your treehouse topple over.
The game has been up on Kickstarter for only four days and has already funded! it looks like only a matter of time before they reach their stretch goals, which include things like linen finish on the cards, bonus cards, and extra rooms to round out our decks. Backers can expect to see their shiny new game shipped in November of 2015 (manufacturing and shipping gods willing, of course).
