This summer, Fireside Games (makers of The Village Crone, Bears, and Bloodsuckers) are releasing a suitably steampunky game called Dastardly Dirigibles. Professor Phineas Edmund Hornswoggle is a famed air ship builder and, like some-sort of monocle wearing, bemoustached Willy Wonka, is looking for someone to inherit his factory when he retires.
Using cards of 9 suits, 2-5 players will add parts to their airship.
In a unique twist, all players MUST add the SAME part–which may replace an existing one. Special cards can be played against your opponents or on yourself to make sure you have the advantage. Whomsoever finishes their masterpiece first ends the round. Players can only score the suit they have the most of on their airship.
You go three rounds and in the end, whoever gets the most points wins!
Dastardly Dirigibles is coming out in July 2016 and you’ll be able to pick it up for $19.95. As with many Fireside Games, this one is kid friendly for ages 8 and up.
