Ever wanted to see your game in the big, bright toy publishers lights? well head on overt to Hasbro then! The Hasbro Gaming Lab is running a contest from now until May 15th where hopeful game designers can pitch their game to Hasbro. On May 27, 2016 15 semi-finalists will then be picked to submit their prototypes.
Of those 15 prototypes, on August 8, 2016, 5 finalists will receive mentorship from Hasbro and Indiegogo to launch crowdfunding campaigns on October 13, 2016 and receive US$2,000 from Hasbro to help develop their game. One Grand Prize Winner will receive US$25,000, a trip for 4 to Hasbro HQ, and an opportunity to work with Hasbro.
Your game must be a board game. Hasbro is not taking pitches for card games or role playing games. To enter, you will need a complete set of rules for your game and have a concept for the art. The challenge is open to residents of the US, Canada (excluding Quebec), UK, Germany, and France.
Jess: This seems like a great opportunity for designers! I can’t wait to see what sorts of games come out of the contest. You can get more info on the contest and enter at The Hasbro Gaming Lab Website
