Coming soon from Fantasy Flight Games, Eldritch Horror is getting a new expansion: The Dreamlands!
You’ll be able to explore the ethereal landscapes of the Enchanted Wood, the Underworld, or even take a trip to the moon. The expansion comes with 2 new Ancient Ones, Altach-Nacha the Dreamweaver and Hypnos, the Lord of Sleep, a side board that gives you access to the moon, as well as new Spells, Conditions, Assets, Adventures, Mythos cards, and encounters for each location.
Luke Robinson, the special character of the expansion, is much more powerful in the Dreamlands. He can move to any space containing a gate that matches the current omen. This makes him extremely mobile, crossing the entire map in a single bound. He can also expend focus or lose sanity to skip the monsters at a gate encounter.
Jess: As a fan of Eldritch Horror (even though it rarely hits the table) I’m really excited to see what Fantasy Flight does with the Dreamlands. I love exploration in games and each expansion to the game has added more fun stuff to discover. I could do without the spider monster Atlach-Nacha, but that’s my own arachnophobia talking (DAMN THEIR 8 EYES! SET FIRE TO THE CITIES LEST THEY ESCAPE! DEATH TO THE ARACHNIDS!)
The Eldritch Horror Dreamlands expansion is coming out first quarter of 2017, so pack a pillow because come next year we’ll be napping at the edge of madness.
