Given the video game is pretty darned fantastic, I am totally not surprised that Hand of Fate: Ordeals, the tabletop adaptation of Defiant Development’s action RPG series, is killing it on Kickstarter.
The board game has has crowdfunded more than $190,000, beating out the previous record holder, Twisted, a steampunk miniatures game, by over $25,000; making it the most-funded Australian tabletop game in Kickstarter history.
“We’ve been absolutely amazed by the support Hand of Fate: Ordeals has received over the past week” said Morgan Jaffit, Creative Director, Defiant Development. “Becoming the highest-funded Australian tabletop game on Kickstarter is a great honor and we look forward to using this success to make Ordeals the best experience possible when it releases this November.”
The Kickstarter pledges has unlocked several stretch goals including new enemies and encounters, expansion add-on packs, alternate art player boards (illustrated by by Jesse Gillespie ), and custom tokens.
Jess: I can’t wait to see what gets unlocked over the three weeks that remain in the campaign. If you haven’t checked out the Hand of Fate: Ordeals Kickstarter check it out here!
