High Treason: The Trial of Louis Riel presents itself, well, kinda poorly. The aesthetic is austere, the rules are wordy, and the subject matter isn’t an immediate turn-on for those of us who are neither history nor law buffs. But is there something special here, hidden beneath the camouflage of drab art and dense text?
