We recently attended the Game Developers Conference (GDC) in San Francisco, CA. One of our favorite talks, The State and Future of Board Games: From Apps to ‘Legacies’, was given by Anna Lapinsh (Dized), Jonathan Ying (Bargain Quest), Tom Lehmann (Race for the Galaxy), Andrew Fischer (Fantasy Flight) and moderated by Paul Dean (Shut Up & Sit Down).
The panel discussed how the board game market continues to grow and evolve, with a look at the issues of diversity and the integration of app-supported play. After the talk we caught up with Paul Dean to dive a bit deeper into the ideas discussed at the talk as well as a few things we’ve always been curious about. Check out the interview below!
